Hey there, I'm Ashley! I'm a writer, producer, comedian born and bred in the heart of the America -- Absolutely Nowhere, USA (aka Kansas). I earned my Bachelor's from Texas A&M University in International Media and Communications and History (dual major because I'm a try-hard), then went on to earn my MFA in Dramatic Writing at New York University.
After graduating from NYU, I went to work at Lucky Monkey Pictures -- a small TV and film production company that has produced films such as The Last Five Years, Vamps, and City Island. I worked first as an intern, then as a creative executive. In the role, I helped source new scripts and IP to adapt. During this time, I also started flexing my comedy side. I worked my way through the UCB courses in New York and had shows on at the Greenwich Village Comedy Club, UCB West, and other teeny venues throughout Brooklyn.
But then I moved to New Zealand and COVID hit.
During the relative bliss that was 2020, I worked as a temp, while continuing to pursue comedy on the side. I've performed across the great city of Wellington doing stand-up, sketch, and improv. I am a founding member of the Popecar sketch group, the Wet Soup Improv group, and Meat Sweats, another sketch group (because you can never have too many)!
